Dopo il disco d'oro nel 2013 con il suo omonimo debut album - premiato come “Revelation” (rivelazione dell’anno) ai prestigiosissimi Victoires De La Musique - , dopo l'acclamato Let it Glow del 2015 e un instancabile tour di più di 300 date, torna il carismatico chansonnier ROVER con un nuovo disco, EISKELLER, in uscita il 7 maggio via Wagram Music.
ROVER ha scritto il nuovo disco completamente da solo nel seminterrato di una vecchia ghiacciaia del 1800: è un disco intenso, commovente, probabilmente il disco più bello dell'artista.
“On a day of heat wave I took my instruments to an old ice cellar in Brussels. This old industrial high-ceilinged factory became my music studio where, alone, I played and recorded a record for months. In this icy and hostile place, I felt safe but highly vulnerable too. I needed several months to tame this ice cellar where finally the songs bloomed on a harsh winter. I called this place “EISKELLER” (ice cellar in German) because of its phonetic and its logical sense. This name became the title of this third album. I enjoyed making this record so much that I now feel proud to have succeeded in completing it, alone and without compromises. I will never forget this journey from which I came back relieved.”.
L'annuncio è accompagnato dalla pubblicazione dell'inedito "To this tree", traccia che apre l'album e che è stata scritta per una persona cara all'artista.
